So this happened, I queued an hour on a weekday, and I don't even like egg tarts!
But I must say they look mighty photogenic ๐๐ป
The Verdict?
So I heard their buttery crust has charmed the pants off many, & their egg custard is รฉ perfect marriage of texture & flavour.
Do I think it's worth an hour's wait? Not quite, but bearing in mind I was never a fan of egg tarts. & I much prefer a flaky croissant-like crust.
The custard itself was delicious, yes. But รฉ top layer seemed to be sweeter than รฉ bottom, or was it just me? Like a Creme brรปlรฉe. Or was that intentional?? ๐ค

Shrimps on the menu! ๐ค๐ค๐ค
5 peeled Shrimps (keep รฉ heads!) ๐ค
3 Tablespoon Olive Oil
2 Cloves minced Garlic
Sprinkle of Dill & Parsley
Himalayan Salt
Course ground Black Pepper
Wrap in cooking paper. Throw into the air fryer, at room temperature when ready to cook. 5 mins on one side, flip the package over & give it a little shake then 2-3 mins on the other, the knob at 200.. might be degree celsius or whatever that measurement is.
But the result, fuss free yet DELICIOUS protein! CONFIRM! ๐๐ป๐๐ป
For once it's no longer alcohol.
Today I served me some green tea because I was in dire need of caffeine.

** Update! **
I sneaked one one-day-old egg tart & I liked it A LOT more than the freshly baked ones. Mainly bcos the crust has softened super nicely & I personally feel that it complements the soft custard much MUCH better. So yes! A "Can Try", BUT – still not worth an hour's wait seriously. Omg. ๐ฐ
