Rise & shine! βοΈ
Having breakfast together with mummy atm πβπ»οΈ I love weekend breakfasts with my family, & I'll try very hard to be available, even though sometimes if I go to bed at 4-5ishAM the night before. (like yesterday) π
Pokemon Adventures π
This was the scene last night @ 401. π @ 12.30AM, midnight oh gawd.
It was quite an experience, as silly as it may all seem.
Tbh, when I saw it in the news I'm like wtheck guys. π For real?
But actually being there, as twisted as it is about to sound, it's quite a community ley.
Everyone sat around with the same purpose, and since our adventures are independent of each other's (i.e. what I catch you still can catch), there wasn't any 'conflict' / 'dispute'.
Everyone was just notifying each other of the next Pokemon that appeared, which I thought was rather.. Teamworky. How often is this displayed in public? Everyone felt like.. Friends. From all walks of life. We have kids, adults.. Chinese Malay Indians.. Working people students.. Families, & groups of friends.. & we're seated in close proximity, filling up both the playground & basketball court.
Albeit there were people trying to profit from this craze too lah #Singaporeans π
So there were those that rented mobile old school ice cream station, or advertising related services.
Ok this is about to sound cray but touch my heart it reminded me of National Day. I know Pokemon cannot compare to our Nation's birthday, but the vibe you know.. Which honestly surprised me, cos like I mentioned, I was absolutely judging initially.
Then there was this once the whole crowd started to shift, so everyone was asking around what's going on..
And even though no one could really confirm, we all stood up and followed anyway.
Turns out the news was "SNORLAX in 1.6KM 2 MINUTES!"
Basically for anyone that's not playing, there's like Grab / Google map that'll show which Pokemon will appear where / when. So, the whole kampung migrated. It was a hilarious sight, I laughed till my tummy ached! πππ
& yes I became one of those people we all see in the viral vids (disclaimer: it will only be a one time experience #δΈ’θΈ) π
Strolling through the park though, it dawned on me, everyone was doing this so willingly, and having fun no less.
Anyone of you guys have company events / team work / bonding sessions that we all get threatened at gun point (jk) to go & dread? Yea, so a thought flashed my mind & for a split second I wondered..
How did an app make all this happen?
We were working as one, we were "exercising" (like all company events promote healthy living / work life balance), and we were more than willing.
Amazing huh.
I've a changed perspective on this Pokemon Go craze. HOWEVER though, I will not cont this insanity. π I'm a leisure Pokemon hunter, I hunt from my bed. Which explains why.. All I have is Pidgey & Rattata πππ
Okay. Enough on this. π€
Evenings
Dear residents of #Punggol,
Your estate is ππ
Btw I'm not there to catch Pokemon okay π (at least that wasn't the main agenda), it was an "exploration" trip with the family. Particularly, to check out the new Safra architecture, & Waterway Point Shopping Mall.
Also, the pictures are all straight from an iPhone 6 Camera, #nofilter no edit whatsoever. We were definitely impressed by the view. π
Also, you guys have possibly THE BEST sunset in Singapore. β οΈ
I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this here, ever.
I love the gradient warm golden orange to cool blue. I love the clouds. I love the backlit blocks, and the LRT tracks that stretched across the plain fields.
It's a rather spacious area, Punggol.
This is the new mall & I give it two thumbs up. ππ»ππ» There were, almost every major F&B chain I could think of. Best of all, for MOF / Four Leaves / Ichiban Boshi etc, there's a more premium / diversified arm. E.g. Social Square by MOF
There were some old school favourites like llao llao / Twelve Cupcakes / Koi etc, and some indie options like sugarcane / coconut water booth.. There were fast food & fusion (Japanese + French) experiments..
Variety, ππ». Very ππ».
Dinner was at Menya Musashi Kinko, a ramen house. I'm not a huge ramen person, but I downed every last bit of noodles & soup, & I usually can't! 1/4 into any ramen I'm like okay enough, jalat! π£ So this definitely has my vote. My little Brother agrees. So I do recommend checking them out if you're too confused & spoilt for dining choices in the mall.
No pictures cos I was really π΄ & hungry π² & π€. It's been a long, long, day & week. Finally back to work tomorrow. βΉοΈ
Signing off, & goodnight! π
