This is my holy grail Mooncake because prior to discovering this I don't like them at all, that's.. 24 / 25 years of my life?

I never liked the paste inside, ew! The only thing I did enjoy was just the baked skin & salted egg yolk but that did not justify eating an entire mooncake. πŸ˜‚

I'll definitely buy these for people, cos they're the only ones I approve, and I only buy things I approve. 😁

The snow skin is so fragrant! Ikr how can snow skin have any smell in the first place!? But I swear as long as these boxes are within radar, you can sniff them!!! It's a very 香 light floral / fruity blend that fills up your bag, your fridge, everywhere! When it hits my nose its like *DING* πŸ˜ƒ MOONCAKE. 🚨🚨🚨

The snow skin is ridiculously soft, like.. It can still be remoulded kind of soft, such an orgasm just savouring it πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‡ Died & went to food heaven.

& then.. Of all things I really hate.. I. Stay. Away. From. Lotus. Paste. Even like bao, or Γ© birthday pink bao.. I really like bao skin, but not lotus paste. This is Γ© ONLY paste I not only eat but LOVE. In fact, tbh, I love Γ© paste more than Γ© ganache, which says A LOT. It's light & creamy & not too niam / sweet. With Γ© snow skin, PERFECTION. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

The white chocolate champagne ganache is like a sweet ending to this mouthwatering little parcel of joy.

You can really taste the champagne.

But I'm way impressed with the Mooncake itself.

Rmb how we used to insert a flimsy thin bus card, punch Γ© correct fare, & Γ© machine will spit our card & tix out!!!

& I used to scratch out all Γ© designs on the card bcos it's so ugly!!!

& our buses used to be non-air-conditioned. Between Γ© person sitting in front of & behind you, you got to share that pathetic sliding window panel that refuses to slide / won't budge. Γ‰ wind that constantly gets hair in your face!!

How to make the perfect hardboiled egg.

I'm not a Chef & I'm not a pro but I think I got this! πŸ’ͺ🏻

EGGCITED!!!!! πŸ™†πŸ»πŸ™†πŸ»πŸ™†πŸ»

(See what I did there? πŸ˜‚ Pun intended.)

1. Place a room temperature egg in a pot, fill w water, enough such that only the top of Γ© egg is peeking through / breaking Γ© water surface.

2. Then bring both Γ© water & egg to a boil. When it starts boiling, COUNTDOWN 5 mins no more or less.

TIP: Roll Γ© egg around Γ© boiling water. The logic is simple, even though it did not occur to me earlier. I roll it rough around Γ© parameter of Γ© pot.. So that my yolk will not settle to Γ© side. It will stay nicely in Γ© middle. You will thank me later.

3. 5 mins of boiling later, immediately remove with a spoon & run under running water. With Γ© water running, trust me, it's not too hot to.. Peel immediately.

& if you've swirled Γ© egg sufficiently earlier, peeling is easy. I used to break my yolk all Γ© time because Γ© sides are too soft & it'll give way. But if it's in Γ© middle.. Our runny yolk is protected.

Peeling immediately also stops Γ© cooking. The end result should be an extremely semi-cooked hardboiled, runny yolk in Γ© middle.

Be gentle here! Don't knock too hard against a surface to crack the shell as well, everything inside will crumble. Gently gently..

It will wobble like jello in your hands! πŸ˜πŸ˜‹πŸ’•

& I could take Γ© top off & dip my veg in the golden molten yolk, even if I've left it in the fridge overnight. πŸ‘πŸ»

Durian Feast!

With the girls for a durian feast incentive.


I think I ate more than my last 5 or 10 years put together 😱

But the Mao Shan Wang was so creamy & SHIOK! I love the bitter ones. I'm not a huge durian fan, I usually stop at 1 or 2.. But it was like durian galore there! πŸ˜±πŸ’•

All the durians we destroyed. πŸ’₯

The vendor already cleared like 3 batches of husks.

& Satsuma Tangerines
& Coconuts
