Back to School x Love Bonito

Rise & Grind guys.

Ended a 3 days stint in SMU.

šŸ˜‚ I thought it was hilarious how he immd thought of me. & rather certainly.

So, he got the class to draft an agreement (on the topic of sections & subsections in a binding agreement).

ā–«ļø Representations and Warranties
E.g. He must be a guy, look like a guy, perform like a guy. šŸ˜³

ā–«ļø Condition Precedent
E.g. To present an NOA of $x prior.

ā–«ļø Covenants
E.g. He must not look at other girls

ā–«ļø Events of Default
E.g. Other girls must not look at him? šŸ˜‚

ā–«ļø Remedies

ā–«ļø Obligations
E.g. To buy a diamond right every month šŸ’

All these may sound boring to some, but the examples in this context are oddly and ridiculously appropriate. šŸ˜‚

Love Bonito Loots!

FINALLY had the time to try on these! #LoveBonito

So what happened that day was I was EXTREMELY busy rushing for deadlines + I've been coveting a choker style blouse for the LONGEST time = I bought them in all potential sizes + colours.

This is very jialat. But I really didn't want to get the wrong fit / color. šŸ˜° & I really had no time to decide there & then.

Hadleigh Cutout Top
Black, Size XS

I found it really hard to pick the size for this.

I think choker styles look better fitting at the neckline + slouchy PTP & waist. Its flattering yet looks so effortless + idc vibe.

So I was contemplating between XS (my usual) & S.

Even after being able to try it on, I had no clue. I changed in & out like 5x.

I conclude I may be in between sizes, šŸ˜

šŸ’œ Material

It's very similar to most of their tops, non-stretchy, with an inner lining. + Back button.

Black, Size S

šŸ’œ Size & Fit

Between the XS & S, there are a few distinct differences.

1. The neckline fits perfect with the XS, & appears a little bit out of place with the S.

2. PTP & waist definitely fits better in my usual size, XS. S just had way too much fabric and I think its meant to look more tailored than slouchy so the bust line with the excess cloth looked so oversized. So, even though I desp wanted S to work, it was just the wrong kind of "slack" look.

3. The most confusing decision was length. I wanted it to look baggy & airy when tucked in, so the S definitely made a lot more sense. With ref to the back view of both sizes above, S definitely had more "tuck in" allowance. But it was soooo baggy I had so much fabric arnd my waist I looked like a disproportionate ballon on top. So I reluctantly tried to pair the XS w a high waisted bottom & turns out it works perfect. Length tho had 0 remaining allowance. šŸ¤”

Ended up choosing the XS, which, is my usual sizing. & I'll be letting go of the S in black.

I'll summarise those pieces I'm letting go shortly. šŸ˜Š

Hadleigh Cutout Top
White, Size XS

Tried on the white even though I already half made up my mind on the black.

Black feels more badass & I was in a certain mood. šŸ˜Ž

Although it's extremely tempting to keep both.

I already have a similar LB piece (but ribbon tie back deet) in both black & white & tbh I do not need this many options. šŸ˜•

Didn't even try on the S, yes I bought white in XS & S. šŸ˜¶

White is def v classy & feminine & clean & work appropriate but as I said, I was feeling badass. šŸ˜‚

Oleja Contrast Asymmetrical Dress
Black, Size XS

I also bought it in S šŸ˜

Cos I've been suspecting I'm currently in between sizes.

TURNS OUT XS FITS LIKE A GLOVE!

I didn't even have to try the S to decide, slipped in on and made up my mind.

šŸ’œ Size & Fit

The fit is PERFECT. There's nothing else to say. Stay with your usual sizing def cos it's stretchy.

šŸ’œ Material

The fabric is, stretchy, smooth. Simple. No fuss. Great quality yet not too thick / warm for our weather.

I did have a hard time photographing this cos for some reason it's extremely gorgeous irl, but the cut looks so odd / random in photos. But I promise you you won't think that way when you try it on.

This dress will have very high mileage. Looks professional enough for work appointments / seminars / social obligations. I really heart this one.

It's also so comfy (so impt) cos I do not need some fancy ass bra. šŸ˜‚

I know that there's a store exclusive shade – blush / navy, and I was so so bumped its store exclusive.

Why you do this to me!!! šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Anyone letting go of your XS???

Once I saw the blush / navy I thought I'll never love the black / white more. I can't be too sure now.

But I'm still on the lookout! šŸ˜ Can always have both right? Haha

(Sidetrack, something just happened & my heart is beating so fast right now! šŸ™ƒ)

For the launch that day I also carted out these.. šŸ˜…

So drawn to prints lately.

The colourful bits on the black piece reminds me of confetti.

I don't know why I'll want to look like I'm dressed in confetti but it looked fun haha!

We'll see! Can't wait to try this style out! šŸ˜

šŸ˜¢

So sleepy, so much work to do.
